Doesnt save on the first try

I have been using this app for years. I love how it syncs with my email and if I lose my phone or change phones, I dont have to worry about losing my info. I just have to log back in and all my notes sync to the new phone. However, something very irritating about this app is that ever time I write a new note and click "done" and go back to the main page, it loses that note. I have to go back in and write it all over again. And sometimes I write a lot and its very annoying having to go back and try to remember what I had written before. I am currently looking for a new note app to use because this is ridiculous.
